I'm genuinely delighted to see that the franchise has decided to hit the reset button on its timeline. The level of detail and the overall aesthetic of the latest installment evoke a sense of how the game might have looked and felt had it been conceived in its initial form. I sincerely hope that the creators continue along this trajectory because the visual and gameplay aspects appear to be exquisitely executed. It's a refreshing change of pace, and I'm eager to see where this fresh direction takes Mortal Kombat.
